We love to share. It’s kind of our thing. Earth Day is April 22nd and we’re celebrating by sharing a few tips about sustainable living.
If you want to save money and benefit the planet, we can help.
- Borrow Instead of Buying:
- Lending our stuff is what we do best. Want to go fishing, fly a kite, or start a podcast? We can help. Check out our Beyond Books Collection to see all the cool things you can use and bring back when you’re done.
- Grow Something:
- Not only do we host a community garden at our Main library location on South Paint Street, but we also have a Seed Library available at all our locations. That means you can pick-up five packets of seeds and start growing a garden of your own.
- Use What You Have:
- Creativebug is an eResource that offers over 1000 tutorials on making something old new again. Learn to upcycle everything from boxes to bridesmaid’s dresses in under an hour!

And don’t forget to visit The Bee Mobile Library at the Earth Gathering Festival on Saturday, April 18th in Yoctangee Park.
