The library is excited to unveil two new BookHives – 24/7 library hold pickup lockers – in the villages of Adelphi and Massieville!

The Adelphi BookHive is located at 11879 Main St., Adelphi, near the Adelphi United Methodist Church.

The Massieville BookHive is located at 2410 Massieville Rd., Chillicothe, at the Horizon substation.

While the BookHives make it possible for folks living in Adelphi and Massieville to have direct access to library resources, Ross County patrons of any address are invited to use the BookHives for 24/7 library hold pickup.  Can’t make it to the library during our open hours?  Try a BookHive to pick up your library requests.

Library book returns, free and open 24/7 public WiFi access, and pop-up stops from The Bee Mobile Library are also provided at BookHive locations.

The process to use a BookHive to pick up library materials is easy:

1. Register for a free library card online if you need one.
2. Search the library catalog for books, movies and more, and, when placing a hold, select a BookHive from the drop-down menu for the Pickup Library.
3. We’ll let you know when your items are ready to be picked up from the BookHive.
4. Next, visit the BookHive, scan your library card or enter it and your PIN on the BookHive screen’s keypad, and a locker door will pop open with your materials.
5. Retrieve the materials, close the door, and a checkout receipt will be printed. That’s it!

If by chance, you happen to close the locker door before retrieving your materials, you will be locked out and will need to call the library for assistance. Please call 740-702-4111 and a staff member will assist you.

The BookHives are stocked at least once per week. If you return books in the BookHive book drops, please allow additional time for them to be scanned in and removed from your account.
