Attention digital card holders who use hoopla

eResource update

Effective Monday, October 21, 2024, eResource card holders must VISIT a physical branch of the library to obtain access to hoopla.  eResource cards are those obtained online and that have a barcode starting with 87925

If your library card begins with 27925, you do not need to do anything; your card will maintain its access to hoopla.

With eBook and eAudiobook demand higher than ever in public libraries, we need to ensure that our funds are being used to serve local patrons.  Asking patrons to visit the library to gain hoopla access helps us keep a lid on rising eBook costs, and helps us fill our local requests more effectively.

eResource card holders will still have direct, open access to all other library eResources.  hoopla is our only exception at this time.

To gain access to hoopla with your eResource card, simply visit any branch of the Chillicothe & Ross County Public library and ask a staff member to upgrade your card.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

Jenn Slone, Access Director, jslone at crcpl.org
