Important Election Dates
July 10, 2023: Deadline to register to vote
July 10, 2023: Deadline for registering to vote in the August election any CRCPL branch location, at Ross County Board of Elections (will be open until 9pm), or register online.
July 11, 2023: Early In-Person voting begins at the Ross County Board of Elections (check times when BOE will be open)
July 11, 2023: Absentee Voting by Mail begins
August 8, 2023: Election Day – Read the ballot language here

Starting April 7, 2023, Ohioans who are 17 years and older can receive a state ID card at no cost from the BMV.

Early Voting in Ross County, Ohio
Visit the Ross County Board of Elections at 475 Western Avenue, Chillicothe, for early voting.
Sending Your Mail-in Ballot
Your mail-in ballot, also known as an absentee ballot, will not be accepted at your precinct on Election Day. You can return a voted ballot ONLY to the Board of Elections. You can also return your absentee ballot in-person to Ross County Board of Elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
