CRCPL kicks off Annual Bookworm Summer Reading Program on June 5

Chillicothe & Ross County Public Library’s popular Bookworm Summer Reading Program begins on June 5 and runs through July 26. This is a fun challenge for the whole family! Track your reading minutes, win free books and be entered in a drawing to win other prizes.

Why should you participate? Reading is important for all ages. For children, it’s keeping their reading skills sharp over the summer. Plus, research shows that kids grow their reading skills when they get to choose their own books and read for enjoyment.

Reading for pleasure also benefits adults. It reduces stress, improves brain health, and offers opportunities for learning and growth.

Any kind of reading counts! Reading to someone else or listening to audiobooks are a great way to earn reading minutes.

It’s that simple: read books, attend library programs, and complete activities. We can’t wait to see you this summer!
